Cycle Route:
An easy route to appreciate all the charms of Alsace. Discover traditional or picturesque Alsace, the one of the postcards but also the unusual and little-known one.
The cities of art and history, their architecture with wood framing and half-timbered, the ancestral villages snuggled up in their case of vineyards. Stages full of charm in character hotels. Prestigious tables to savor and appreciate the regional food.
The approximate difficulty level for this tour
Day 1: Arrival Strasbourg
Arrival in Strasbourg, settling at the hotel and free time to explore the town.
Day 2: Strasbourg – Area Sélestat ≈ 25 or 35 or 55 km
You will leave Strasbourg along the Rhône-Rhine canal which will lead you along its very pretty cycle track into the heart of the Ried.
Day 3: Area Sélestat – Colmar ≈ 68 or 58 or 38 km
You will travel through the landscapes and villages of the Alsatian Ried which is rich in aquatic flora and fauna. Arrival in Colmar the capital of the wine of Alsace and the town of art, by the cycle track of the channel of Colmar.
Day 4: Colmar – Area Mulhouse ≈ 66 km
From Colmar head east to Neuf Brisach, then continue towards the south to reach the gentle village of Ottmarsheim with its 12th century nice church. Next you enter the Hardt’s forest then you go along theHuningue’s canal to reach Mulhouse. After enjoying the historic town center of Mulhouse, you have numerous museums to visit.
Day 5: Area Mulhouse – Guebwiller≈ 35 km
You will leave the banks of the Rhine and the villages of the Sundgau and ride to Ungersheim, until the Ecomusee d’Alsace. You arrive in Guebwiller, nestling at the foothills of the Vosges.
Day 6: Guebwiller – Riquewihr Area ≈ 48 km
At the foot of the Vosges nestle the winemaking villages responsible for the reputation of the Alsatian Grand Crus: Eguisheim, Turckheim, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr.
Day 7: Riquewihr Area –Obernai Area ≈ 49 km
Along the Wine Route you will discover the villages of Ribeauvillé, Bergheim, Andlau and its abbey, Barr and Obernai
Day 8: Obernai Area – Strasbourg ≈ 37 km
Country roads and cycle tracks will take you from Rosheim and to Avolsheim. From there, along the cycle track on the banks of the Bruche canal, you will reach the capital of Europe: Strasbourg. End or prolongation of your stay

Quality, comfortable and sturdy bikes
We understand that well made bikes are essential for an enjoyable cycling holiday. All bikes are based on technology from leading Austrian bike manufacturer ‘KTM’ and serviced by an expert mechanic.
The bikes use good quality components to give you confidence in the bike on your holiday and comfortable riding on varied cycle paths and roads.
About the bikes
You will be given an easily identifiable, solid and sturdy aluminum trekking bike with V-brakes, solid wheels, almost puncture resistant tyres. Each bike has been built through continuous development and feedback from customers.
Each bike is also fitted with a dynamo lighting system for ease, handlebar bag, pannier, mudguards and comfortable saddle made by Selle Royal.
You can also bring your own saddle and adapter with you (diameter of seat post from 27, 2 to 31, 4 mm). We help you with the fitting of saddles and SPD shoes should you require assistance.
Gear systems
7-gear-bikes are equipped with Shimano NEXUS gear hub. Gears can be changed anytime even whilst stationary.
21-gear-bikes are equipped with Shimano ALIVIO derailleur. The ALIVIO system is robust and easy to use.
Frame sizes
The following frame sizes are available on tours with the bikes shown in the picture:
Unisex frame 21-gears with free wheel. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 / 43 cm
Unisex 7-gears-bikes with back pedal brake. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 cm
Men’s speed bikes 21-gears with freewheel and crossbar. Sizes: 64 / 60 / 56 “sloping crossbar” cm

Bike Insurance
This tour benefits from bike insurance against rental bike theft and damage in the holiday price! Please make sure you lock up the bike, leave it where told by the hotel and treat your hire bicycle as if the bike was your own. Any negligent treatment of the bike will exempt you from cover.
