Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Prague

Travellers are responsible for their own transportation to Prague. Expect in the “Golden City” numerous of sights.

Day 2: Prague – Melnik, app. 52 km

Your first trip is along the river Moldau from Prague according to Melnik. Take a still earlier stroll through Prague. The landscape
around Melnik is dominated by viticulture.

Day 3: Melnik – Litomerice, app. 50 km

From the Moldova Continue to follow the loops of the same over Roudnice to Terezin. At the confluence of the Elbe with the Eger, in the scenic region of the Bohemian Central Mountains, is today’s destination, the royal city Litomerice.

Overnight stay in Litomerice.

Day 4: Litomerice – Decin, app. 58 km

On your way through the Bohemian countryside, you will pass the castle Schreckenstein the Bohemian town of Usti (Ústí nad Labem). Your way leads you further to the little town of Decin. Visit the castle and the rose garden.

Day 5: Decin – Bad Schandau, app. 35 km

Today you follow the same on your way through the Czech Elbe Sandstone Mountains, which again shows sexy rock art, and cross the border at Schmilka.

Day 6: Bad Schandau – Dresden, app. 40 km

In Pirna start the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Saxon Switzerland. You will past the famous rock groups such as the bastion near Rathen which you can reach from the valley. After you cycling along the Blue Wonder and castle Pillnitz you arrive to Dresden.

Day 7: Dresden – Cottbus, app. 20 km by bike/70 km by train

Today you take the train (included) from Dresden to Cottbus. Or you cycle through the vineyards to Radebeul. Guests can taste one or two of wine. In Coswig going on by train to Cottbus. Sports cyclists can also use the entire route Dresden – cycle with
105 km (approx. 69 miles) of Cottbus.

Day 8: Cottbus – Spree forest, app. 78-80 km

Passing countless flow of the trail leads through the high forest of Lübbenau by Lübben. A trip to the lagoon village Lehde should be scheduled. There is plenty of time for a relaxing boat trip.

Overnight in Lübben or nearby.

Day 9: Spree forest – Beeskow, app. 56 km

On your way from the Spree forest to Beeskow are the “Neuendorfer- and the Schwieloch Sea”. Beeskow castle houses a regional museum of local history. The St.Mary’s Church is located one of the largest churches in Mark Brandenburg.

Overnight stay in Beeskow.

Day 10: Beeskow – Fürstenwalde, app. 36 km

The journey continues along the meanders of the river Spree to Fürstenwalde. You will pass between the Spree and Oder-Spree Canal one of the most beautiful forest areas of Brandenburg. Near the Kersdorfer lock you can stop in 2 guest houses and represent your feet on short hikes on a nature trail or to Hirschfeld monument. Enjoy again the calm before you get into the vibrant metropolis of Berlin.

Overnight stay in Fürstenwalde.

Day 11: Fürstenwalde – Berlin, app. 55-57 km

From Fürstenwalde today you go to Köpenick and leave the green forest landscape of Brandenburg. Take the S-Bahn train ride (on their own) from the Outskirts of Berlin-Köpenick to the famous Friedrichstrasse. Landmarks such as the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate is a short way.

Overnight in Berlin/centre.

Day 12: Departure Berlin

Travellers are responsible for their own transportation homeward.
