Day-by-Day Cycling Holiday Itinerary


Day 1: Arrival to Copenhagen

The arrival to Copenhagen takes place on your own initiative during the day. Let the charming city of Copenhagen inspire you and take a walk around the old harbor. Overnight stay in Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen – Køge, app. 43-55 km

You will cycle through Copenhagen and to the city beaches. Afterwards you will follow Køge Bay on the shore-based route where you pass various small villages along the bikeway to Køge. Overnight stay in Køge.

Day 3: Køge – Island of Møn/Naestved, app. 50-69 km (when taking the rain to Fakse or Rødvig/ ca. 69km to Naestved)

Take the train in the morning (on your own initiative) which takes you to Rødvig. It is possible to cycle along Fakse Bay to Praestø and further to the island of Møn. An alternate route follows the west coast of Zealand (Great Belt) to Naestved. Overnight stay in Stege/island of Møn or Naestved.

Day 4: Island of Møn/Naestved – Nykøbing/Falster, app. 75-78 km

Today’s tour leads you from the island of Møn to the island of Bogø, which you will reach by taking the ferry to Stubbekøbing (on your own initiative), and further to Nykøbing. Or you follow the west coast from Naestved via Vordingsborg to Falster.
Overnight stay in Nykøbing/Falster.

Day 5: Nykøbing/Falster – Rostock, app. 38 km

Passing the holiday region around Marielyst you continue to the ferry in Gedser, which takes you to Rostock (incl.). After approximately 2 hours you will arrive at the harbor of Rostock. A cycle path leads directly into town and to your hotel. Overnight stay in Rostock or Warnemünde.

Day 6 Rostock – Guestrow/Krakow region, app. 54 – 78 km

You will leave Rostock to the south partly following Warnow as well as Nebel Valley while cycling on the idyllic paths to the Barlach town Güstrow. Stage can be shortened by train at your own.

The upcoming route segments to Krakow run through the slightly wavy landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland. Overnight stay Güstrow or Krakow region.

Day 7: Güstrow/Krakow region – Waren, app. 45-69 km

You will pass Lake Drewitz and Nossentiner Hütte on your way to Waren. The tour continues through spacious pine and spruce forests to Jabel. Along Lake Koelpin you will cycle to inland Mueritz River on the beautiful paths to Waren. Overnight stay in Waren.

Day 8: Waren – Neustrelitz, app. 65 km

A big part of this route stage is the path through Mueritz-Nationalpark. On your way you may get the chance to observe the aeries near Federow. Overnight stay in Neustrelitz.

Day 9: Neustrelitz – Zehdenick/Fuerstenberg, app. 45-78 km

Back to the course of the Havel River you will follow the young river to Lake Woblitz and cycle through Wesenberger Seenkreuz. From here you can either cycle to Stechlin and take the longer route or go directly to Fuerstenberg. Overnight stay in Fuerstenberg or nearby.

Day 10: Zehdenick/Fuerstenberg – Oranienburg, app. 35-75 km

Continuing your cycle tour you will at first pass Zehdenick and reach the city of Oranienburg after a short while. Oranienburg is located in the north of Berlin. You may take the S-Bahn (commuter train) to Berlin City. Overnight stay in Oranienburg.

Day 11: Departure from Oranienburg

You will depart from Oranienburg on your own initiative after breakfast.
